- This order provides general information on the installation, operation, and utilization of the Runway Visual Range (RVR) system. It further establishes guidelines for installation of transmission meters, RVR systems and retrofit programs for existing installations under the various categories of operation. The operational criteria under which RVR is to be reported to pilots are also included.
